Biography

Aimee Ferrer is a distinguished trial attorney with extensive experience in complex litigation, federal criminal defense, and high-stakes business disputes. Her proven track record includes more than 30 federal jury trials and multiple eight-figure settlements for her clients.

Aimee's litigation practice spans both civil and criminal matters, with particular expertise where these areas intersect. Her unique background allows her to provide comprehensive representation in complex cases involving federal litigation, whistleblower representation, complex financial fraud investigations, Federal Tort Claims Act litigation, wrongful death, products liability, including complex multi-district litigation, and medical and professional malpractice. Her civil trial achievements include securing a $100 million verdict for a client, as well as successful settlements through strategic arbitration and mediation.

Before joining AXS Law Group, Aimee was a partner at a boutique litigation firm in Miami, Florida. Prior to that, she served as a Supervisory Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Southern District of Florida, where she tried dozens of complex cases involving financial fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and other federal felonies. Her diverse legal career also includes practicing at a prominent New York law firm handling white collar criminal defense, civil litigation and bankruptcy matters, and practicing law at a D.C. nonprofit representing immigrant victims of domestic violence.

Aimee is deeply committed to mentoring and teaching. She regularly teaches trial skills to law students and practicing attorneys through the Litigation Skills and Trial Advocacy programs at University of Miami Law School and Emory Law School KEPTT Trial Techniques program . As a National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) instructor, she conducts workshops nationwide focused on developing effective courtroom techniques and advocacy skills.

Believing that service is essential to creating a more just and caring community, Aimee serves the First Vice-Chair of the Miami Dade Human Rights Commission, a quasi-judicial county board hearing appeals from violations of Miami Dade County's anti-discrimination ordinances. She is also a long-time board member of Engage Miami, a local youth civic engagement organization, and remains active in the Southern District of Florida Bar, having been appointed to the District's Bench & Bar planning committee and Hispanic Heritage Month planning committee. She also serves on SDFL Ad Hoc Committee on Attorney Admissions, Peer Review and Grievances and has previously served on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee, working to ensure excellence in the legal profession.
