What a dream our wedding in Italy was this summer!  Mike and I started the week in Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast where we enjoyed dinner and live music at Tavern Allegra, a day trip to Positano where we had a delicious pizza lunch at Treville Beach Club followed by some afternoon drinks at One Fire, and ended our weekend with a boat day to Capri and lunch at La Fontelina (I recommend Capitano Ago for a boat day excursion).

We headed over to Anacapri afterwards, which is the quieter side of the island and the perfect location for our guests to spend a week with close friends.  While we were busy preparing for the wedding, guests enjoyed a number of activities the island offered, including riding the Monte Solaro Chairlift to witness the spectacular views, visiting the famous blue grotto by boat, shopping along the streets of Anacapri for custom-made leather sandals and indulging in seafood pasta and gelato.

Our wedding was spent at Capri Palace for the welcome party, Lido del Farro for our ceremony and reception and Il Riccio for our brunch day following the wedding, the second venues of which double as beach clubs open to the public during the day.  Make sure to check out the dessert room at Il Riccio – you will never forget how sweet the room smells!  Between the locations, the food and excitement of having all our closest friends and family together in such a beautiful place, it was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish always. Add this magical island to your bucket list if you haven’t had the chance to visit it already – it will not disappoint!
